Parents Attend Post-High School Planning Night

Additional date planned for popular informational session
Post-High School Planning Night at Beacon

Post-High School Planning Night at Beacon proved to be a big hit last week, with 25 parents attending—the most ever for the annual informational session created to help families support students’ post-graduation transition.

Hosted by Beacon guidance counselors Bernadette Smith and Theresa Melito, the evening presentation featured a range of topics that included the college application process, gap year programs, and financial aid.

Described as a “very comprehensive overview” by one parent, the evening also included a helpful question-and-answer session. The material was “very well presented by two very professional counselors,” said another parent.

This event was open to all parents, but those who were unable to attend can join Bernadette and Theresa at an additional Post-High School Planning Night, to be scheduled after the holidays.
